The Vietnam Veterans Memorial honors the men and women of the U.S. armed forces who served, fought and died in the Vietnam War. The memorial consists of three parts: the Three Soldiers Statue, the Vietnam Women’s Memorial, and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall. Measuring a little over 246 feet, the Memorial Wall consists of over 58,000 Americas who gave their lives in service to their country.

If you choose to visit this memorial for your family reunion tour, couple it with the Korean War Veterans and the Lincoln Memorials which are located within walking distance.

If you’re not on a tour bus, parking around the Vietnam Veterans Memorial is scare. Public transit is highly recommended, either by Metrorail or Metrobus.
